ALPO Guided Expeditions is a Kilimanjaro climbing specialist based at the Clock Tower in Arusha, Tanzania. We run fully guided expeditions on all of the mountain's main routes — Machame, Lemosho, Marangu, Rongai and the Northern Circuit — in small groups, with a 1:3 guide-to-climber ratio and a 95-97% success rate on our signature Machame Route. The experience behind every climb is our difference. Co-founder Yevgen Staroselskiy is a Master of Sport of the USSR in Mountaineering and a Snow Leopard title holder who has summited Everest, K2 and the Seven Summits. Co-founder and lead guide Liberaty Victor Mato has more than 220 Kilimanjaro ascents and is Wilderness First Responder certified. Every expedition is built around acclimatization and safety: a steady pole pole pace, daily blood-oxygen and pulse checks, and emergency oxygen carried on the mountain. As a KPAP member operator, we hold ourselves to fair porter standards, and our pricing is published openly for each route. We also arrange Tanzania safaris and Zanzibar beach extensions on request.
